Garden Maintenance

Garden Maintenance Blue Mountains

Gardens in the Blue Mountains have a way of getting away from you. One good run of spring rain and suddenly the weeds are up past your knees, the hedges look shaggy, and the garden beds you tidied a month ago look like they’ve never been touched. If keeping on top of it all feels like a losing battle, regular garden maintenance is probably the answer — and it’s a big part of what we do.

We’re based in Lawson and provide ongoing garden maintenance right across the mountains, from Mt Victoria down to Glenbrook. Our regular clients range from busy families who just don’t have the weekends spare, to older residents who can’t get around the garden like they used to, to holiday home owners who need someone keeping things tidy while they’re not around.

Garden maintenance up here isn’t quite a “set and forget” job, because the seasons genuinely change what needs doing. Spring brings a growth spurt across lawns, hedges and garden beds that can catch people off guard. Summer means keeping on top of watering needs and weed growth, particularly after storms. Autumn is leaf season, and depending on where you are — Leura and Katoomba cop a lot of deciduous trees — that can mean a fair bit of clean-up work. Winter slows growth right down but often brings its own jobs, like pruning while plants are dormant and clearing away anything storm damage has brought down.

Our maintenance visits typically cover weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, mulching, garden bed tidy-ups, lawn edging, and general upkeep to keep everything looking cared for rather than overgrown. We can set up a regular schedule — fortnightly, monthly, or whatever suits your garden’s growth rate and your budget — and we’ll adjust the workload visit to visit based on what’s actually needed rather than just going through the motions.

We also handle the less glamorous side of maintenance that people often forget about until it becomes a problem: clearing gutters of leaf litter from nearby trees, keeping vegetation appropriately managed near fence lines and structures for bushfire compliance, and general property upkeep that keeps things safe as well as tidy.

A lot of our maintenance clients started out with a one-off clean-up job — maybe the garden had been neglected for a while, or they’d just moved into a place with years of overgrowth to deal with — and then moved onto a regular schedule once it was back under control. That’s honestly the easiest way to keep a mountains garden looking good long-term: get it sorted properly once, then keep on top of it with manageable regular visits rather than letting it slide back into chaos.

If your garden needs some regular attention, whether that’s a light tidy-up every few weeks or a more substantial ongoing maintenance plan, get in touch. We service the whole stretch from Mt Victoria to Glenbrook and we’re happy to work out a schedule that actually fits your garden and your life.
